Is Anyone Else Getting Tired of Hearing about Warren Buffett all the Time?

Warren Buffett is a great investor and maybe, or maybe not a great guy, but I must admit, I'm burned out reading about him, seeing him on CNBC, etc. Is anyone else?

Here are some places where I found Warren Buffett over the last couple of days:

1. Fate of Bud May Life with Buffett

2.Buffett’s Horse Race: Will Protege Partners Beat the S&P?

3. Warren Buffett Bears Down for Ceremonial First Pitch in Kansas City

CNBC even has a section called Warren Buffett watch where you can keep track of America's Billionairre Next Door. Please.

Like I said, I have nothing against Warren Buffett but the reality is he is a smart guy who also got very lucky. He'll be the first to admit that luck played a big role in his success. Emulating or shadowing his every move isn't going to make you rich. Everyone needs to develop their own success formula and move away from a cult of celebrity.

That's my financial rant for this week.

I'm just hoping Buffett doesn't start a new reality TV show.

I always thought Buffett was modest and avoided the spotlight. That doesn't seem to be the case. He's everywhere. More like an older Trump recently.

It is very odd that Buffett has taken such a liking to the spotlight. He was always so low key. There must be some explanation, but as usual, only he really knows what his motivations are.

It is very clear what is going on. He has gotten a little older and he is more aware of his own mortality. He has done everything that there is to do in the world, except to shape his own legacy. He sees the media as an opportunity to do that, and that is also why he is giving away so much of his money.

His investing standard is old school. He made his fortune in insurance. Then invested in high dividend yielding stocks. So, nothing of note here. Coke, Proctor, etc. He hardly has to pay taxes being located in his state, and they why he resides where he does. He's simply a common sense guy, that's all.
